Between November 2016 and February 2017, 16 interviews have been conducted with survivors of trafficking in human beings having been through the asylum process in Cyprus, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain and in the UK. The objective is to conduct 35 interviews all in all. It has proven to be more difficult than expected to identify participants willing to talk about their pathways as victims of trafficking seeking asylum in Europe. Nevertheless, material collected has confirmed to be of great added value and to favour the identification of special needs of victims of trafficking in the asylum process, both in relation to the procedures and reception conditions. Project partners will continue to conduct such interviews in the coming months.
